Hubert Kinkoh is a Senior Researcher at CARPO, a Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellow at Chatham House, and a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Gulf Research Center. His research focuses on Gulf–Africa relations, peace and security governance, and the impact of external actors and geopolitical competition on African states and regional institutions. Over the past decade, he has worked across policy research, political risk analysis, and field programming with organizations including the Economist Intelligence Unit, International Crisis Group, Institute for Security Studies, and Conflict Dynamics International, while advising the African Union, the U.S. Department of State, and UN entities. His work bridges research and policy, generating evidence-based insights on the evolving strategic links between Africa, the Gulf region, and the wider international system.
