Dr. Reynaldo Gacho Segumpan

Head of the Department of Business Administration - University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CAS-Ibri), Oman .

Dr. Reynaldo Gacho Segumpan is Chartered Manager and Chartered Fellow (CMgr FCMI) of the Chartered Management Institute, UK; Chartered Scientist (CSci) of the Science Council, UK; Fellow of the Institute of Science & Technology (FIScT), UK; and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. His most recent edited book (with Professor John McAlaney, co-editor), Higher Education in the Gulf: Quality Drivers was published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis (2021). He has a forthcoming edited book on communication and social media research (Joanna Soraya Abu Zahari, co-editor) to be published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis (2022) and a book chapter on qualitative research in Asia by SAGE Publishing (2022). Dr. Segumpan has traveled to more than 30 countries (e.g., Australia, Austria, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Switzerland, UK) in various roles and functions. He was a Delegate to the 2018 Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations in Harvard University, USA. Formerly an associate professor and Deputy Director of the Executive Development Centre, MBA Coordinator, and Deputy Director of the University Teaching and Learning Centre at Universiti Utara Malaysia, Dr. Segumpan is currently the Head of the Department of Business Administration, College of Applied Sciences at University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Ibri, Sultanate of Oman (he has been in Oman since September 2007). He holds a PhD and a Doctor of Communication (Chancellor’s List).
